An affiliate of the national American Advertising Federation, AAF Charlotte is a consortium of advertising and marketing professionals dedicated to advertising excellence in and around Charlotte, NC.

Our primary goals are to protect and promote the well-being of advertising and to create value and fellowship amongst our members.

What We Do

In an effort to achieve the following goals laid out by the American Advertising Federation, AAF Charlotte focuses on a number of events and initiatives.

  • Bring members together to deliver creative business solutions

  • Keep members abreast of the latest trends in technology, creativity and marketing

  • Promote diversity and inclusion in advertising

  • Honor and celebrate advertising excellence

  • Develop the industry’s future leaders

  • Protect and promote advertising at all levels of government

  • Offer engaging programs to encourage local association volunteer leadership

  • Utilize industry expertise to address community issues

  • Provide opportunities for professionals to build supportive relationships with others in the advertising industry

  • Industry professionals are invited to speak about the latest trends and topics impacting advertising. Members also have access to national webinars and resources.

  • Throughout the year, AAF Charlotte hosts a number of social events like Halloween dodgeball, happy hours, professional panel discussions, seasonal events, workshops and more.

  • Our mentorship program serves as a platform for developing long-term relationships between seasoned professionals and those in junior- to mid-level advertising positions. This program is only open to AAF members.

  • In addition to educating young professionals, we work to establish relationships with local colleges and universities through programs, award opportunities and workshops.

  • Part of a three-tier national competition, AAF Charlotte hosts a local awards competition and gala to recognize outstanding achievements in advertising for both professionals and students within the greater Charlotte area.

  • The AAF protects and promotes advertising at all levels of government through grassroots activities. Our corporate partners and advertising professionals engage with lawmakers on behalf of the advertising industry on tax, privacy, First Amendment, etc.
